: أي سَبقَهم وغَلبَهم يَبُذُّهم بَذًّا، وبَذَّت هَيئتُه: رَثَّت بَذاذًا وبَذاذَةً، فهو باذٌّ فيهما.

(بَذَذَ)
(هـ) فِيهِ «البَذَاذَة مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ» البَذَاذَة رَثَاثة الْهيئة. يُقَالُ: بَذُّ الْهيئة وبَاذّ الْهَيْئَةِ: أَيْ رَثُّ اللِّبْسة. أَرَادَ التَّوَاضُعَ فِي اللِّبَاسِ وَتَرْكَ التَّبَجُّح بِهِ.
(س) وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ «بَذَّ الْقَائِلِينَ» أَيْ سَبَقَهُمْ وَغَلَبَهُمْ، يَبُذُّ هم بَذّاً.
وَمِنْهُ فِي صِفَةِ مَشْيه صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «يَمْشِي الهُوَينا يَبُذُّ الْقَوْمَ» إِذَا سَارَع إِلَى خَيْر ومشَى إِلَيْهِ. وَقَدْ تَكَرَّرَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ.
