(بده) - في صِفَته عليه الصلاة والسلام: "مَنْ رَآه بَدِيهة هابَه": أي مُفاجَأَةً. يقال: بَدَهَة وبَادَهَهُ. إذا استَقبَله بَغْتَةً: أي مَنْ لَقِيه قبلَ الاخْتِلاط به، هَابَ منه لوقارِه وسُكُونِه، فإذا خالَطَه وجَالسَه بَانَ له حُسنُ خُلُقِه.

(بَدَهَ) الْبَاءُ وَالدَّالُ وَالْهَاءُ أَصْلٌ وَاحِدٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى أَوَّلِ الشَّيْءِ وَالَّذِي يُفَاجِئُ مِنْهُ. يُقَالُ: بَادَهْتُ فُلَانًا بِالْأَمْرِ: إِذَا فَاجَأْتُهُ. وَفُلَانٌ ذُو بَدِيهَةٍ: إِذَا فَجِئَهُ الْأَمْرُ لَمْ يَتَحَيَّرْ. والْبُدَاهَةُ أَوَّلُ جَرْيِ الْفَرَسِ، قَالَ الْأَعْشَى:

إِلَّا بُداهَةَ أَوْ عُلَا ... لَةَ سَابِحٍ نَهْدِ الْجُزَارَهْ
