(وَلَغَ) الْوَاوُ وَاللَّامُ وَالْغَيْنُ: كَلِمَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ، وَهِيَ قَوْلُهُمْ: وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ يَلَغُ، وَيُولَغُ إِذَا أَوْلَغَهُ صَاحِبُهُ. أَنْشَدَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ: أَنْشَدَنَا ثَعْلَبٌ:

مَا مَرَّ يَوْمٌ إِلَّا وَعِنْدَهُمَا ... لَحْمُ رِجَالٍ أَوْ يُولَغَانِ دَمَا وَرَجُلٌ مُسْتَوْلِغٌ: لَا يُبَالِي ذَمًّا وَلَا عَارًا.
