ولع

2 وَلَّعَهُ بِهِ [i. q.

أَوْلَعَهُ بِهِ]: (K, art. غرو:) He made him to be desirous, or fond, of it. See أَغْرَاهُ بِهِ.4 أَوْلَعَهُ بِكَذَا He, or it, rendered him eagerly desirous of such a thing; or fond of it. (MA.) b2: أَوْلَعَهُ بِهِ i. q.

أَغْرَاهُ بِهِ. (K.) b3: أَولِعَ بِهِ He became attached to it, or fond of it; [was devoted, or addicted, to it; was eagerly desirous of it;] he adhered, clung, or clave, to it; or loved it; (Msb;) i. q. أُغْرِىَ به. (S.) See this last, and أُغْرِمَ بِهِ.

وَلْعٌ Lying: see شَهْلٌ.

وُلُوعٌ Eager desire [بِشَىْءٍ for a thing]; syn. حِرْصٌ: (Har, p. 607:) fondness [for it]; attachment [to it]: (L, Msb, TA:) i. q. غَرَامٌ. (S, K, in art. غرم.) وَلِيع and وَلِيعَة of the طَلْع: see ضَحْكٌ.

مُوَلَّعٌ Marked, in oblong shapes, with black and white: (S:) or, with other colours. (As, S.) See also مُلَمَّعٌ.

(وَلِعَ)
(س) فِيهِ «أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشّرِّ وَلُوعاً» يُقَالُ: وَلِعْتُ بِالشَّيْءِ أَوْلَعُ وَلَعاً. ووَلُوعاً، بِفَتْحِ الْوَاوِ، المَصْدَرُ وَالِاسْمُ جَميعا. وأَوْلَعْتُهُ بِالشَّيْءِ، وأُولِعَ بِهِ فَهُوَ مُولَعٌ، بِفَتْحِ اللَّامِ:
أَيْ مُغْرىً بِهِ.
وَمِنْهُ الْحَدِيثُ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ مُولَعاً بالسِّواك» .
(س) وَالْحَدِيثُ الْآخَرُ «أَوْلَعْتُ قُرَيشاً بِعَمَّارٍ» أَيْ صَيَّرتُهم يُولَعون بِهِ.

وَلِعَ به، كوَجِلَ، ولَعاً، محرَّكةً، ووَلُوعاً، بالفتحِ، وأولَعْتُه وأُولِعَ به، بالضم، فهو مُولَعٌ به، بالفتح، وكوَضَعَ، وَلْعاً ووَلَعاناً، محرَّكةً: اسْتَخَفَّ، وكَذَبَ،
وـ بِحَقِّه: ذَهَبَ.
والوالِعُ: الكَذَّابُ، ج: ولَعَةٌ.
ووَلْعٌ والِعٌ، مُبالَغَةٌ، أي: كَذِبٌ عظيمٌ،
وما أدري ما وَلَعَهُ: ما حَبَسَهُ،
وما والَعَهُ: بمعْناهُ. وكهُمَزَةٍ: يُولَعُ بما لا يَعْنيهِ.
وبَنُو وَلِيعَةَ، كسَفينَةٍ: حَيٌّ مِنْ كِنْدَةَ.
ووالِعٌ: ع.
والوَليعُ: الطَّلْعُ في قيقائِهِ.
وأوْلَعَهُ به: أغْراهُ.
والتَّوْلِيعُ: اسْتِطالَةُ البَلَقِ، يُقالُ: بِرْذَوْنٌ وثَوْرٌ مُوَلَّعٌ، كمعَظَّمٍ.
واتَّلَعَ فُلاناً والِعَةٌ، أي: خَفِيَ عَلَيَّ أمْرُه، فَلا أدْرِي أحَيٌّ هو أو مَيِّتٌ.
ورَجُلٌ مُوتَلَعُ القَلْبِ: مُنْتَزَعُهُ.

(وَلَعَ) الْوَاوُ وَاللَّامُ وَالْعَيْنُ: كَلِمَتَانِ تَدُلُّ إِحْدَاهُمَا عَلَى اللَّهَجِ بِالشَّيْءِ، وَالْأُخْرَى عَلَى لَوْنٍ مِنَ الْأَلْوَانِ.

فَالْأُولَى قَوْلُهُمْ: أُولِعْتُ بِالشَّيْءِ وَلُوعًا. وَرَجُلٌ وُلَعَةٌ، إِذَا لَهِجَ بِالشَّيْءِ. وَيُقَاسُ عَلَى هَذَا فَيُقَالُ وَلَعَ الظَّبْيُ، إِذَا أَسْرَعَ. وَوَلَعَ الرَّجُلُ: كَذَبَ.

وَالْأُخْرَى قَوْلُهُمْ لِلْمُلَمَّعِ مُوَلَّعٌ. وَالتَّوْلِيعُ: اسْتِطَالَةُ الْبَلَقِ. قَالَ:

كَأَنَّهُ فِي الْجِلْدِ تَوْلِيعُ الْبَهَقْ

وَالْوَلِيعُ: الطَّلْعُ فِي قِيقَائِهِ.
