صين

صِينَةٌ [originally صِوْنَةٌ]: see art. صون.

صِينِىٌّ Of, or relating to, الصِّين [i. e. China]. (TA.) [Hence,] أَوَانٍ صِينِيَّةٌ, (K, TA,) and [the pl.] صَوَانِىُّ, (S,) Vessels of الصِّين, (S, K, TA,) made in the country thus called [i. e. China]. (TA.) صِينِينٌ A certain drug, [said to be] well known. (TA. [But what it is I have been unable to learn.]) صِيَانٌ and صِيَانَةٌ inf. n. of صَانَ expl. in art. صون.

A2: The former, of which صُيَانٌ and صَيَانٌ are said to be vars., is also syn. with صِوَانٌ, likewise expl. in art. صون.
