[ثغم] الثَغامُ، بالفتح: نبتٌ يكون في الجبل، يَبْيَضُّ إذا يبس، يقال له بالفارسية " إسپيذ "، ويشبه به الشيب، الواحدة نغامة. قال الشاعر يخاطب نفسه أعلاقة أم الوَليدِ بَعْدَ ما أَفْنانُ رَأْسِكَ كالثَغامِ المُخْلِسِ والثَغْمُ: الضاري من الكلاب.
