(نَمَطَ) النُّونُ وَالْمِيمُ وَالطَّاءُ كَلِمَةٌ تَدُلُّ عَلَى اجْتِمَاعٍ. وَالنَّمَطُ: جَمَاعَةٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ. وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ: " «خَيْرُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ النَّمَطُ الْأَوْسَطُ، يَلْحَقُ بِهِمُ التَّالِي وَيَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمُ الْغَالِي» ".
