[نكه] النَكْهَةُ: ريحُ الفم. ونَكِهْتُهُ: تشممت ريحه. وقال: (284 - صحاح - 6) نكهت مجاهدا فوجدتُ منه * كريحِ الكلبِ ماتَ حديثَ عَهْدِ واسْتَنْكَهْتُ الرجل فَنَكَهَ في وجهي يَنْكِهُ ويَنْكَهُ نَكْهاً، إذا أمرتَه بأن يَنْكَهَ، لتعلَمَ أشاربٌ هو أم غير شاربٍ. والنكَّهُ بالضم من الإبل: التي ذهبتْ أصواتُها من الإعياء والضَعف، وهى لغة تميم في النقه. ونُكِهَ الرجل: تغيَّرتْ نَكْهَتُهُ من التُخْمة. ويقال في الدعاء للإنسان: هُنِّئْتَ ولا تُنْكَهْ، أي أصبت خيرا ولا أصابك الضر.
