(نَظَمَ) النُّونُ وَالظَّاءُ وَالْمِيمُ: أَصْلٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى تَأْلِيفِ شَيْءٍ وَتَأْلِيفِهِ، وَنَظَمْتُ الْخَرَزَ نَظْمًا، وَنَظَمْتُ الشِّعْرَ وَغَيْرَهُ. وَالنِّظَامُ: الْخَيْطُ يَجْمَعُ الْخَرَزَ. وَالنِّظَامَانِ مِنَ الضَّبِّ: كُشْيَتَانِ مِنْ جَنْبَيْهِ، مَنْظُومَانِ مِنْ أَصْلِ الذَّنَبِ إِلَى الْأُذُنِ. وَأَنْظَمَتِ الدَّجَاجَةُ: صَارَ فِي جَوْفِهَا بَيْضٌ. وَيُقَالُ لِكَوَاكِبِ الْجَوْزَاءِ: نَظْمٌ. وَجَاءَنَا نَظْمٌ مِنْ جَرَادٍ: أَيْ كَثِيرٌ.
