[نجذ] الناجِذُ: آخرُ الأضراسِ، وللإنسان أربعة نواجذَ في أقصى الأسنانِ بعد الارحاء، ويسمَّى ضِرْسَ الحُلُمِ، لأنه ينبت بعد البلوغ وكمال العقل. يقال: ضَحِكَ حتَّى بَدَتْ نواجذُه، إذا استغرب فيه. وقد تكون النواجذ للفرس، وهى الانياب من الخف، والصوالغ من الظلف. قال الشماخ يذكر إبلا حداد الانياب: يباكرن العضاه بمقنعات * نواجذهن كالحداء الوقيع - ورجل منجذ: مجرَّبٌ أحكمتهُ الأمور. وقال الشاعر سحيم بن وثيل: أخو خَمسينَ مُجْتَمعٌ أشدِّي - ونَجَّذَني مُداوَرَةُ الشُؤونِ -
