[The twenty-fourth letter of the alphabet; called

مِيمٌ. It is one of the letters termed مَجْهُورَة, or vocal, and of those termed شَفَهِيَّة or labial: it is a letter of augmentation.

A2: As a numeral, it denotes forty.]
