[لقس] نه: فيه: لا يقولن أحدكم: خبثت نفسي، وليقل: "لقست"، أي غثت، وكرهه هربًا من لفظه. ط: هو بكسر قاف، كانوا يقولونه إذا فسد مزاجها وحصل فيهم غثيان أو سوء هضم، فنهوا عنه كراهة أن يضيف المؤمن إلى نفسه الخباثة التي هي صفة الشيطان. ن: هما بمعنى، وكرهه لبشاعة اللفظ. نه: وفي ح عمر في الزبير: وعقة "لقس"، هو السيء الخلق، وقيل: الشحيح، ولقست نفسه إليه- إذا حرصت عليه ونازعته إليه.

(لَقَسَ) اللَّامُ وَالْقَافُ وَالسِّينُ كَلِمَةٌ تَدُلُّ عَلَى نَعْتٍ غَيْرِ مَرْضِيٍّ. وَلَقِسَتْ نَفْسُهُ مِنَ الشَّيْءِ: غَثَتْ. وَاللَّقِسُ: الرَّجُلُ السَّيِّئُ الْخُلُقِ، الشَّرِهُ الْحَرِيصُ. وَاللَّقَسُ الْمَصْدَرُ. وَاللَّاقِسُ: الْعَيَّابُ. وَلَقَسْتُ الرَّجُلَ أَلْقُسُهُ: عِبْتُهُ.
