(الأَلْثَعُ) ، أَهْمَلَهُ الجَوْهَرِيُّ صاحِبُ اللِّسَانِ، وَقَالَ ابنُ عَبّادِ: هُوَ (مَنْ يَرْجِعُ لِسانُه إِلَى الثّاءِ والعَيْنِ) . قالَ: (واللَّثْعَةُ، مَا لازَقَ الأَسْنَاخَ مِنَ الشَّفَةِ) ، فإِذا انْقَلَبَت اللَّثْعَةُ قيلَ: هُوَ أَلْثَعُ.
