بفتح الكاف، وسكون النون، وباء موحدة، وبعد الألف نون مكسورة، وياء خفيفة:
ناحية بالأندلس قرب قرطبة، ينسب إليها محمد بن قاسم بن محمد الأموي الجاحظي الكنباني، ذكر في جالطة بأتمّ من هذا.
