[كعم] الكعام: شئ يجعل في فم البعير. يقال: كَعَمْتُ البعير، إذا شددت به فمه في هياجه، فهو مكعومٌ. وكَعَمْتُ الوعاء، إذا شددتَ رأسه. وكَعَمَهُ الخوف فلا يرجع. والمُكاعَمةُ: التقبيل. يقال كَعَمَها وكاعَمَها، إذا التقم فاها في التقبيل.
