فوص: التَّفاوُصُ: الكلامُ، وقيل: إِنما أَصله التَّفايُصُ فقَلَبَتْها

الضمةُ، وهو مذكور في فيص أَيضاً. وفي الصحاح: المُفاوَصةُ في الحديث

البيان. يقال: ما أَفاصَ بكلمة، قال يعقوب: أَي ما تخَلَّصَها ولا

أَبانَها.

(فَوَصَ) الْفَاءُ وَالْوَاوُ وَالصَّادُ كَلِمَةٌ تَدُلُّ عَلَى خُلُوصٍ أَوْ خَلَاصٍ مِنْ شَيْءٍ. يُقَالُ: قَبَضْتُ عَلَى ذَنَبِ الضَّبِّ فَأَفَاصَ مِنْ يَدِي، أَيْ خَلَّصَ ذَنْبَهُ. وَالْمُفَاوَصَةُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ: الْإِبَانَةُ. وَمَا يُفِيصُ بِهَا لِسَانُهُ، أَيْ يُبَيِّنُ.
