: (الطَّيْهُوجُ:) طائرٌ، حَكَاهُ ابْن دُريد، قَالَ: وَلَا أَحسبُه عربيًّا. وَقَالَ الأَزهريّ: الطَّيْهُوجُ: طائرٌ، أَحسبُه مُعَرَّباً، وَهُوَ (ذَكَرُ السِّلْكانِ) ، بِكَسْر السِّين الْمُهْملَة، وسيأْتي، (مُعَرَّب) عَن تيهو، ذَكَرَه الأَطِبّاءُ فِي كُتبهم.
