[صون] صنت الشئ صونا وصيانا وصِيانةً، فهو مَصونٌ، ولا تقل مُصانٌ. وثوبٌ مَصونٌ على النقص، ومصوون على التمام. وقد فسرناه في (دوف) . وجعلت الثوب في صوانه وصوانه، بالضم والكسر، وصيانة أيضا، وهو وعاؤه الذي يُصانُ فيه. وصانَ الفرسُ، إذا قام على طرف حافره من وجى أو حَفىً. قال النابغة: وما حاولتُما بِقياد خيلٍ * يَصونُ الوردُ فيها والكميت وأما قوله : فأوردهن بطن الاتم شعثا * يصن المشى كالحدإ التؤام فلم يعرفه الاصمعي. وقال غيره: يبقين بعض المشى. ويقال: يتوجين في المشى من حفى. والصوان، بالتشديد: ضرب من الحجارة، الواحدة صوانة. والصين: بلد. والصوانى: الاواني منسوبات إليه.
