(صَمَكَ) الصَّادُ وَالْمِيمُ وَالْكَافُ أُصَيْلٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى قُوَّةٍ وَشِدَّةٍ. مِنْ ذَلِكَ الصَّمَكْمَكُ، وَهُوَ الْقَوِيُّ. وَكَذَلِكَ الصَّمْكُوكُ: الشَّيْءُ الشَّدِيدُ. وَالصَّمْكِيكُ: كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لَزِجٍ كَاللُّبَانِ وَنَحْوِهِ. وَيُقَالُ: اصْمَاكَّ الرَّجُلُ، إِذَا تَغَضَّبَ. وَهُوَ ذَاكَ الْقِيَاسُ. وَاصْمَاكَّ اللَّبَنُ، إِذَا خَثُرَ حَتَّى يَشْتَدَ فَيَصِيرَ كَالْجُبْنِ.
