[سمح] السَماحُ والسَماحَةُ: الجود. وسَمَحَ به: أي جاء به. وسَمَحَ لي: أعطاني. وما كان سَمْحاً ولقد سَمُح بالضم، فهو سَمْحٌ، وقومٌ سُمَحاءُ، كأنه جمع سَميح. ومَساميحُ: كأنَّه جمع مِسْماحٍ. وامرأة سَمْحَةٌ ونِسْوَةٌ سِماحٌ لا غير، عن ثعلب. والمُسامحة: المُساهلة. وتسامحوا: تساهلوا. وقولهم: " أَسْمَحَتْ قَرُونَتُهُ "، أي ذَلَّتْ نفسُه وتابَعَتْ. وتَسْميحُ الرُمْح: تَثْقيفُه. والتَسْميحُ: السير السهل. وقال: سمح واجتاب فلاة قيا
