زحزب:الزُّحْزُبُّ: الذي قد غَلُظَ وقَوِيَ واشْتَدَّ. الأَزهري: روى أَبو عبيد هذا الحرف، في كتابه، بالخاءِ، زُخْزُبٌّ، وجاءَ به في حديث مرفوع، وهو الزُّخْزُب للـحُوار الذي قد عَبُلَ، واشْتَدَّ لَـحْمه. قال: وهذا هو الصحيح، والحاء عندنا تصحيف.
