زبرق: الزِّبْرِقان: ليلة خمس عشرة. يقال: ليلة الزِّبرقان. وليلة أربع عشرة: ليلة البدر، لأن القمر يبادر فيها طلوع الشمس. والزِّبرِقان: الذهب. ويقال: سمي الزِّبْرِقان به لصفرة وجهه، ويقال: صفرة وجهه شبهت بالذهب. [وزَبْرَقَ عمامته: صفرها] .
