رثو: المَرْثُوُّ: المُنْكَسِرُ الذي به عِلَّةٌ.
ورَثَوْتُ حَدِيْثاً: أي حَفِظْتَه. وكذلكَ إذا رَوَيْتَه. وعَمَّنْ تَرْثُو هذا الحَدِيْثَ: أي عَمَّنْ تَذْكُرُه.
ورَثَوْتُ الرَّجُلَ: أي رَثَيْته، ورَثَأْتُه أيضاً. والرَّثّايَةُ: النائحَةُ.
