رثم: الرَّثَمُ: بَيَاضٌ على أنْفِ الفَرَسِ، وهو أرْثَمُ.
وشَفَةٌ رَثْمَاءُ: في أعْلاها بَيَاضٌ، وهي الرُّثْمَةُ.
والمَرْثِمُ: الأنْفُ، وجَمْعُه مَرَاثِمُ.
ورَثِيْمُ الحَصى: ما دُقَّ منه بالأخْفَافِ.
ومَنْسِمٌ أرْثَمُ: أدْمَتْه الحِجَارَةُ.
والرَّثْمُ: تَخْدِيْشٌ وشَقٌّ من طَرَفِ الأنْفِ حَتّى يَخْرُجَ الدَّمُ، رَثَمَ مَنْسِمَه وأنْفَه. ولَطْخُ المِسْكِ: مِثْلُه.
والرَّثْمَةُ: الرِّكُّ من المَطَرِ، وهي الرِّثَامُ. وأرْضٌ مُرْثَمَّةٌ.
ورَثْمَةٌ من خَبَرٍ: أي غَيْرُ مُسْتَيْقَنٍ.
