حجى: في ألف ليلة (1: 102) عبارة: حجيت على رأسي. ومعناها كما ترجمها تورنس: حثيت التراب على رأسي ولا توجد هذه العبارة في طبعة بولاق (1: 41) وفي طبعة برسل (1: 257) هجيت على رأسي. ويقال عادة حثا أو حثى، فهل صحفها العامة إلى حجى؟.
