[حتك] حَتَكَ الرجل يَحْتِكُ حَتْكاً وحَتَكاناً، أي مشى وقاربَ الخطوَ وأسرع. ويقال: لا أدري على أيِّ وجهٍ حَتَكُوا، وربَّما قالوا عَتَكوا، أي توجَّهوا. والحَوْتَكُ والحَوْتَكِيُّ: القصير الضاوى. وقال وهل كنت إلاَّ حَوْتَكِيًّا أَلاقَهُ بنو عَمِّهِ حتى بغى وتجبرا والحواتك: رئال النعام.

(هـ) فِي حَدِيثِ العِرْبَاض «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْرُج فِي الصُّفَّة وَعَلَيْهِ الحَوْتَكِيَّة» قِيلَ هِيَ عِمَامَةٌ يَتَعَمَّمُهَا الْأَعْرَابُ يُسَمُّونَهَا بِهَذَا الِاسْمِ. وَقِيلَ هُو مُضَافٌ إِلَى رَجُلٍ يُسَمَّى حَوْتَكًا كَانَ يَتَعَمَّم هَذِهِ العِمَّة.
وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ «جِئْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهِ خميصةٌ حَوْتَكِيَّة» هَكَذَا جَاءَ فِي بَعْضِ نُسَخ صَحِيحِ مسْلم. وَالْمَعْرُوفُ «خَمِيصة جَوْنيَّة» وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ، فَإِنْ صَحَّت الرِّوَايَةُ فَتَكُونُ مَنْسُوبَةً إِلَى هَذَا الرجُل.

(حَتَكَ) الْحَاءُ وَالتَّاءُ وَالْكَافُ يَدُلُّ عَلَى مُقَارَبَةٍ وَصِغَرٍ. فَالْحَتْكُ: أَنْ يُقَارِبَ الْخَطْوَ وَيُسْرِعَ رَفْعَ الرِّجْلِ وَوَضْعَهَا. وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ مِنَ الْكَلَامِ مَعْرُوفٌ. وَيُبْنَى مِنْهُ الْحَتَكَانُ، وَهُوَ غَيْرُ الْحَيَكَانِ. وَالْحَوَاتِكُ: صِغَارُ النَّعَامِ. وَالْحَوْتَكُ: الْقَصِيرُ.
