(بغم) - في حديث المَرأةِ المُسْتَأْسَرة : "كانت إذا وضَعَت يَدها على سَنام بَعِيرٍ أو عَجُزه رَفَع بُغامَه".
: أي صوتَه، ويقال لِصوْتِ الظَّبى والعَناقِ أيضاً، بَغامٌ، قال الشاعِر:
* حَسِبتَ بُغامَ راحِلَتى عَناقاً *
وقيل: عَنَاق: اسْمُ ناقَتهِ.

(بَغَمَ) الْبَاءُ وَالْغَيْنُ وَالْمِيمُ أَصْلٌ يَسِيرٌ، وَهُوَ صَوْتٌ وَشَبِيهٌ بِهِ لَا يَتَحَصَّلُ. فَالْبُغَامُ صَوْتُ النَّاقَةِ تُرَدِّدُهُ، وَصَوْتُ الظَّبْيَةِ بُغَامٌ أَيْضًا. وَظَبْيَةٌ بَغُومٌ. قَالَ الشَّاعِرُ فِي النَّاقَةِ:

حَسِبْتَ بُغَامَ رَاحِلَتِي عَنَاقًا ... وَمَا هِيَ وَيْبَ غَيْرِكَ بِالْعَنَاقِ

وَمِمَّا يُحْمَلْ عَلَيْهِ قَوْلُهُمْ بَغَمْتُ لِلرَّجُلِ بِالْحَدِيثِ: إِذَا لَمْ تُفَسِّرْهُ لَهُ.
