بغض: بُغْضَة بالضم (وليست بغضة بالكسر كما في الفصيح) من نطق العامة ومعناها العداوة (فوك، الكالا، بوشر).
بغيض: مُبغض، كاره (فوك) (راجع لين).
بغيضة: بحة، جشة، (المعجم اللاتيني وفيه rancedo: خشينة وبغيضة. وابحّة (وبَحَّة). بَغّاض: الكثير البغض (فوك).
أبغض، يقال: أبغض إليه أي أكره الناس إليه. ففي كوزج مختار ص76: وكان أبغض الناس إليه من يذكر الحارث بالشجاعة.
مبغوض: مُبغِض، حقود (دوماس حياة العرب 165).

(بَغَضَ) الْبَاءُ وَالْغَيْنُ وَالضَّادُ أَصْلٌ وَاحِدٌ، وَهُوَ يَدُلُّ عَلَى خِلَافِ الْحُبِّ. يُقَالُ: أَبْغَضْتُهُ أُبْغِضُهُ. فَأَمَّا قَوْلُهُ: وَمِنَ الْعَوَادِي أَنْ تَقَتْكَ بِبِغْضَةٍ ... وَتَقَاذُفٍ مِنْهَا وَأَنَّكَ تُرْقَبُ

فَقِيلَ الْبِغْضَةُ الْأَعْدَاءُ، وَقِيلَ أَرَادَ ذَوِي بِغْضَةٍ. وَرُبَّمَا قَالُوا بَغُضَ جَدُّهُ، كَقَوْلِهِمْ عَثَرَ. وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
