بغر: بَغَار: جنس من السمك يسمى باجر pagre على شواطئ وسط فرنسا (دومب 68 وانظر دوكانج مادة ( pagrus)) .
بَغِير: طلمة تغمس بالعسل والسمن المذاب وتؤكل ساخنة (كندى 1: 80، 145، دى يونج فان رودنبرج 263).
باغر: جنس من السمك (معجم الاسكوريال حاشية سيمونية) وانظر: بَغَار.

(بَغَرَ) الْبَاءُ وَالْغَيْنُ وَالرَّاءُ أَصْلٌ وَاحِدٌ، وَفِيهِ كَلِمَاتٌ مُتَقَارِبَةٌ فِي الشُّرْبِ وَمَعْنَاهُ. فَالْبَغَرُ أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الْإِنْسَانُ وَلَا يَرْوَى، وَهُوَ يُصِيبُ الْإِبِلَ أَيْضًا. وَعُيِّرَ رَجُلٌ فَقِيلَ: " مَاتَ أَبُوهُ بَشَمًا وَمَاتَتْ أُمُّهُ بَغَرًا ". وَيَقُولُونَ: بَغَرَ النَّوْءُ: إِذَا هَاجَ بِالْمَطَرِ. وَحَكَى بَعْضُهُمْ: بُغِرَتِ الْأَرْضُ: إِذَا لَيَّنَهَا الْمَطَرُ.
