الوَسْفُ: تَشَقُّقٌ يَبْدُو في فَخِذِ البَعيرِ وعَجُزِهِ عندَ السِّمَنِ، ثم يَعُمُّ فيه.
وتَوَسَّفَ: تَقَشَّرَ،
وـ البَعيرُ: ظَهَرَ به الوَسْفُ، أو أخْصَبَ وسَمِنَ، وسَقَطَ وبَرُهُ الأوَّلُ، ونَبَتَ الجَديدُ.
