الفَحْسُ، كالمنعِ: أخْذُكَ الشيءَ عن يدِكَ بلسانِكَ وفَمِكَ، من الماءِ وغيرِه، ودَلْكُ السُّلْت حتى تَقْلَعَ عنه السَّفا.
وتَفَيْحَسَ في مِشْيَتِه: تَبَخْتَرَ.
