أثأ: جاءَ فلان في أُثـْئِيَّةٍ من قومه أَي جماعة. قال: وأَثـَأْتُه إِذا رميتُه بسهم، عن أَبي عبيد الأَصمعي. أَثيْتُه بسهم أَي رميته، وهو حرف غريب. قال وجاءَ أَيضاً أَصبَح فلانٌ مُؤْتَثِئاً أَي لا يَشتهي الطعام، عن الشيباني.
