1 ضَمڤخَ see the next paragraph.2 ضمّخهُ بِالطِّيبِ, (S, A, Mgh, Msb,) inf. n. تَضْمِيخٌ; (S, A, K;) and ↓ ضَمَخَهُ, (ISd, TA,) aor. ـُ (TK,) inf. n. ضَمْخٌ; (ISd, K;) He daubed, or smeared, (S, A, Mgh, Msb, K,) him, (S, A, Mgh, Msb,) or his body, (L, K,) with perfume, or some odoriferous or fragrant substance, (S, A, Mgh, L, Msb, K,) copiously, (L,) so that it seemed to drip. (L, K.) It is said in a trad., كَانَ يُضَمِّخُ رَأْسَهُ بِالطِّيبِ He [Mohammad] used to daub, or smear, his head copiously with perfume. (L.) 5 تضمّخ بِالطِّيبِ, (S, A, Mgh, Msb, K,) and ↓ انضمخ, and ↓ اِضْطَمَخَ, (K,) and ↓ اِضَّمَخَ, (L,) He daubed or smeared himself, or he became daubed or smeared, (S, A, Mgh, Msb, K,) copiously, (L,) with perfume, (S, A, Mgh, Msb, K,) so that it seemed to drip. (L, K.) 7 إِنْضَمَخَ see what next precedes.8 اِضْطَمَخَ, and its var. اِضَّمَخَ: see 5.

ضِمْخَةٌ A fat woman or she-camel. (K.) b2: And Fresh ripe dates (رُطَب [so in copies of the K, accord. to the TA رَطْب, app. a mistranscription,]) from which something drips.
