[تيم] في كتابه: و"التيمة" لصاحبها، التيمة بالكسر الشاة الزائدة على الأربعين حتى تبلغ الفريضة الأخرى، وقيل: هي شاة في البيت للحلب لا سائمة. وفي ش كعب: "متيم" عندها أي معبد ومذلل، وتيمه الحب إذا استولى عليه. ك: فأجلاهم إلى "تيماء" وأريحاء، بفتح تاء وهمزة ومد قريتان بالشام.
