المطاوعة: هي حصول الأثر عن تعلق الفعل المتعدي بمفعوله، نحو: كسرت الإناء فتكسر، فيكون تكسر مطاوعًا، أي موافقًا لفاعل الفعل المتعدي، وهو كسرت؛ لكنه يقال لفعل يدل عليه: مطاوع، بفتح الواو، تسمية للشيء باسم متعلقه.
