حَوْضاءُ:
بالضاد معجمة، والمدّ: جبل في ديار بني كلاب يقال له حوضاء الماء، وهناك آخر يقال له حوضاء الظّمء لطهمان بن عمرو بن سلمة بن سكن بن قريط بن عبد بن أبي بكر بن كلاب، وقيل:
حوضاء اسم ماء لهم يضيفون إليه الهضب.
