بفتح أوله، وسكون ثانيه، وروي في القاف الضم والفتح، والباء موحدة، يفعل من الثقب: موضع بالبادية، قال النابغة:
أرسما جديدا من سعاد تجنّب ... عفت روضة الأجداد منها فيثقب
