بفتح أوله وثانيه، وسكون نونه، وباء مفتوحة، وميم، ويقال أبنبم: موضع وهو من أبنية كتاب سيبويه، قال طفيل الغنوي:
أشاقتك أظعان بحفر يبنبم ... نعم بكرا مثل الفتيق المكمّم
