يوم الحج يوم عَرَفة: هو التاسعُ من ذي الحجة وسمِّي بيوم عرفة، لأن آدم وحواءَ بعد ما أهبطا إلى الأرض وافترقا فلم يجتمعا سنين ثم التقيا يوم عرفة بعرفات قاله النسفي وفي الحديث: "الحجُّ عرفة".
