(وعى) : الوَعايَةُ: الحِفْظُ.
(وعى) : وَعَى فُلانٌ بنِى فُلان يَعِيهم، أي أغارَ عليهم، فسَرَقَهُم.
(وعى - وكى - وقى) : الإِعاءُ، والإِكاءُ، والإِقاءْ: لغاتٌ في الوِعاءِ، والوِكاءِ، والوِقاءِ.
(وعى) الأَوْعاةُ: الأَوْعِيَةُ بلغة طَيِّءٍ، قالَ بعضُ الطائِيِّيين:
أَفْلَحَ مَنْ كانَ لَه لغَِيفَا
يُخبِّطُ الأَوْعاةَ والرُّفوفَا
