وضن



وَضِينٌ A girth (بِطَان) wide, woven of thongs or hair, or only of skin; (M, K;) said to be adapted for the رَحْل and the هَوْدَج; the بِطَان being peculiarly for the قَتَب: (M:) or it is for the هَوْدَج, like the بِطَان for the قَتَب and the تَصْدِير for the رَحْل and the حِزَام for the سَرْج; and both [but to what this refers is doubtful] are like the نِسْع, except that they are of thongs woven one upon another, doubly or more. (S.) مِيضَنَةٌ i. q.

قُفَّةٌ i. e. مَرْجُونَةٌ. (TA in art. ضون.)

(وَضَنَ)
- فِي حَدِيثِ عَلِيٍّ «إِنَّكَ لَقَلِقُ الوَضِين» الْوَضِينُ: بِطانٌ مَنْسُوج بعضُه عَلَى بَعْضٍ، يُشَدّ بِهِ الرَّحل عَلَى الْبَعِيرِ كالحِزَام للسَّرج. أَرَادَ أَنَّهُ سَرِيعُ الحَركة. يَصفه بالخِفَّة وقلَّة الثَّبات، كَالْحِزَامِ إِذَا كَانَ رِخْوا.
(هـ) وَمِنْهُ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ:
إلَيْكَ تَعْدُو قَلِقاً وَضِينُها
أَرَادَ أَنَّهَا قَدْ هُزِلَتْ ودَقَّت للسَّير عَلَيْهَا.
هَكَذَا أخْرجه الهَروِي والزَّمخشري عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَر. وأخْرَجه الطَّبرانيّ فِي «المُعْجَم» عَنْ سَالِم عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أفاضَ مِنْ عَرفاتٍ وَهُوَ يَقول:
إلَيْكَ تَعْدُو قَلِقاً وضِينُها

وضَنَ الشيءَ يَضِنُه، فهو مَوْضُونٌ وَوَضِينٌ: ثَنَى بعضَه على بعضٍ، وضاعَفَهُ، ونَضَّدَهُ،
وـ النِّسْعَ: نَسَجَهُ.
والوَضِينُ: بِطانٌ عريضٌ مَنْسُوجٌ من سُيورٍ أو شَعَرٍ، أو لا يكونُ إلاَّ من جِلْدٍ
ج: وُضُنٌ.
وقَلِقَ وضِينُها: بِطانُها هُزالاً.
والمَوْضُونَةُ: الدِرْعُ المَنْسُوجَةُ، أو المُقارَبَةُ النَّسجِ، أو المَنْسُوجَةُ حَلْقَتَيْنِ حَلْقَتَيْنِ، أو بالجَواهِرِ.
وتَوَضَّنَ: تَذَلَّلَ.
واتَّضَنَ: اتَّصَلَ.
والمِيضانَةُ: القُفَّةُ.
والمِيضَنَةُ: كالجُوالِقِ من الخُوصِ
ج: مَواضِينُ.
