(ورم) - في الحديث : "قامَ حتى تَرِمَ قَدَمَاهُ"
يُقالُ: وَرِمَ يَرِمُ، والقِياسُ: يَوْرَمُ بمعنى توَرَّمَ وأْتَرَمَ يَأْتَرِم أيضاً، وورَّمَه غَيرُه وأَوْرَمَت النّاقَةُ: وَرِمَ ضَرْعُهَا.

(وَرِمَ)
(س) فِيهِ «أَنَّهُ قَامَ حَتَّى وَرِمَتْ قدماهُ» أَيِ انْتَفَخَتْ مِنْ طُول قِيامِه فِي صَلاة اللَّيْلِ. يُقال: وَرِمَ يَرِمُ، وَالْقِيَاسُ: يَوْرَمُ، وَهُوَ أحدُ مَا جاءَ عَلَى هَذَا البِنَاء.
(هـ) وَمِنْهُ حَدِيثُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ «وَلَّيْتُ أمُورََكُمْ خَيْرََكُمْ، فَكُلُّكُم وَرِمَ أنْفُهُ عَلَى أَنْ يكُونَ لَهُ الأمْرُ مِنْ دُونِه» أَيِ امْتَلأ وانْتَفَخَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ غَضَباً. وخَصَّ الأنْفَ بالذِّكْر لأنَّه مَوْضِعُ الأنَفَة والكِبْر، كَما يُقال: شَمَخَ بأنْفِه.
وَمِنْهُ قَوْلُ الشَّاعِرِ:
وَلَا يُهَاجُ إِذَا مَا أنْفُه وَرِمَا
