أبو عمرو: الهِلَّقْسُ والهِلَّكْسُ والهِلَّقْتُ: الشَّديد وهي مُلْحَقَةٌ بِجِرْدَحْلٍ، وأنشد:
أنْصَبُ الأُذنَيْنِ في حَدِّ القَفا ... مائلُ الضَّبْعَيْنِ هِلَّقْسٌ حَنِقْ
وقال ابن عبّاد: جُوْعٌ هِلَّقْسٌ: أي شديد.
ورَجُلٌ هِلَّقْس: كثيرُ اللَّحْمِ.
