هث
الهَثْهَثَةُ: انْتِخَالُ الثَّلْجِ والبَرَدِ في سُرْعَةٍ. وهو بَعْضُ كلامِ الألْثَغ. والوالي إذا جارَ، يُقال: هَثْهَثَ الناسَ. وقَرَبٌ هَثْهَاثٌ: سَرِيعٌ. والشَّيْءُ المُخَلَّطُ: هَثْهَاثٌ. وبَلَدٌ هَثْهَاثٌ: كثيرُ التُّرَابِ.
باب الهاء مع الثاء هـ ث مستعمل فقط

هث: الهَثْهَثَةُ: انتخال الثَّلْج والبَرَد وعظام القطر في سُرْعة. يقال: هثهث السَّحابُ بمطره. قال:

من كُلِّ جَوْنٍ مُسْبِلٍ مُهَثْهِثِ

والهَثْهَثَةُ: بعض كلام الأَلْثَغ. ويُقال للوالي إذا جار وظلم: قد هَثْهَثَ. قال العجاج:

وأُمَراءُ أفسدوا فعاثوا ... وهثهثوا فكَثُرَ الهَثْهاثُ
الْهَاء والثاء

الهَرْثَمَةُ: مُقَدّمَة الْأنف، وَهِي أَيْضا الوترة الَّتِي بَين منخري الْكَلْب.

وهَرْثَمَةُ: من أَسمَاء الْأسد.

والهِلبَوْثُ: الأحمق.

والهِلْباث: ضرب من التَّمْر، عَن أبي حنيفَة قَالَ: أَخْبرنِي شيخ من أهل الْبَصْرَة فَقَالَ: لَا يحمل شَيْء من تمر الْبَصْرَة إِلَّا الهِلْبَاثُ.

والهَثْمَلَة: الْفساد والاختلاط.

والهَنابِثُ: الدَّوَاهِي، واحدتها هَنْبَثَةٌ، وَقيل: الهَنابِثُ: الْأُمُور وَالْأَخْبَار المختلطة، يُقَال: وَقعت بَين النَّاس هَنابِثُ، وَالْوَاحد كالواحد.
الْهَاء والثاء

الهَثُّ: خلطك الشَّيْء بعضه بِبَعْض.

والهَثُّ والهَثهَثةُ: اخْتِلَاط الصَّوْت فِي حَرْب أَو صخب، وَالِاسْم مِنْهُ الهَثهاثُ، قَالَ:

فَهَثْهَثوا فَكثُر الهَثهاثُ

والهَثهَثةُ والهَثهاثُ: حِكَايَة بعض كَلَام الألثغ.

والهَثْهَثَةُ والهَثهاثُ: الْفساد.

وهَثْهَثَ الْوَالِي النَّاس: ظلمهم.

والهَثهَثةُ: انتخال الثَّلج وَالْبرد وَعِظَام الْقطر فِي سرعَة من الْمَطَر، وَقد هَثهَثَ السَّحَاب بمطره قَالَ:

مِن كلّ جَوْنٍ مُسبِلٍ مُهَثْهِثِ

1 هَثَّ, aor. ـُ inf. n. هَثٌّ, He mixed a thing, one part with another. (M.) b2: هَثَّ, [aor. ـِ inf. n. هَثٌّ, He lied. (IAar, K.) R. Q. 1 هَثْهَثَ, inf. n. هَثْهَثَةٌ, He mixed, or confounded; like مَثْمَثَ. (TA.) هثهث أَمْرَهُ He confounded his affair. (TA.) b2: هَثْهَثَ, inf. n. هَثْهَثَةٌ, It was mixed, or confounded. (S, K.) b3: هَثْهَثَ, (inf. n. هَثْهَثَةٌ, K,) He (a magistrate, S) acted unjustly, injuriously, or tyrannically. (S, K.) b4: هثهث النَّاسَ He (a magistrate) acted unjustly, injuriously, or tyrannically, towards the people. (TA.) A2: هَثْهَثَ, inf. n. هَثْهَثَةٌ, It sent forth quickly: (K:) [ex.] هَثْهَثَتِ السَّحَابَةُ بِقُطْرِهَا وَثَلْجِهَا The cloud sent forth quickly its rain and its snow. (S.) A3: هَثْهَثَ, inf. n. هَثْهَثَةٌ (and هثهاث, TA) He trod, or trampled, vehemently. (K.) b2: It (a pasturing herd or flock) trod the fresh green pasture until it was destroyed, حتى يوتى [So in the L, app. حَتَّى يُؤُتِىَ].) هَثٌّ and ↓ هَثْهَثَةٌ and ↓ هثهاث A confusion of sounds, noises, or voices, in war or a raising of a loud cry, or clamour, or confused noise (M,) [App. inf. n., of which the verbs are هَثَّ and هَثْهَثَ]

هَثْهَثَةٌ and ↓ هَثْهَاثٌ A word imitative of somewhat of the speech of how who has the (??) kind of pronunciation (??) لُثْغَة (TA.) See هَثٌّ هَثْهَاثٌ Quick (K) rain (TA.) b2: هَثْهَاثٌ Confused, confounded: (K,) an epithet applied to a man. (TA.) b3: See هَثٌّ b4: And see هَثَّاثٌ and هَثْهَثَةٌ b5: هَثْهَاثٌ A town, or district, abounding with dust. (K) هِثْهَاثٌ: see هَثٌّ.

هَثَّاثٌ and ↓ هَثْهَاثٌ A liar, (K.) b2: Also, the latter, A man who tells unmixed lies. (TA.)
