نهرُ بَشّار:
بالبصرة ينزع من الأبلّة، وله ذكر في الأخبار بالباء والشين معجمة، منسوب إلى بشّار بن مسلم بن عمرو الباهلي أخي قتيبة بن مسلم وكان أهدى إلى الحجاج فرسا فسبق عليه الخيل فأقطعه سبعمائة جريب، وقيل أربعمائة جريب، فحفر لها نهرا نسب إليه.
