نُقَمٌ:
يروى بضمتين وفتحتين وبفتحة وضمة، مثل عضد، وكله من نقم عليه ينقم: وهو جبل مطل على صنعاء اليمن قرب غمدان، قال فيه زياد بن منقذ:
لا حبّذا أنت يا صنعاء من بلد ... ولا شعوب هوى مني ولا نقم
ولا رأيت بلادا قد رأيت بها ... عنسا ولا بلدا حلّت به قدم
إذا سقى الله أرضا صوب غادية ... فلا سقاهنّ إلا النار تضطرم
وهي قصيدة في الحماسة.

(نَقَمَ) النُّونُ وَالْقَافُ وَالْمِيمُ أُصَيْلٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى إِنْكَارِ شَيْءٍ وَعَيْبِهِ. وَنَقَمْتُ عَلَيْهِ أَنْقِمُ: أَنْكَرْتُ عَلَيْهِ فِعْلَهُ. وَالنِّقْمَةُ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَالِانْتِقَامِ، كَأَنَّهُ أَنْكَرَ عَلَيْهِ فَعَاقَبَهُ. وَقَوْلُهُمْ لِلنَّفْسِ نَقِيمَةٌ، وَهُوَ مَيْمُونُ النَّقِيمَةِ، إِنَّمَا هِيَ مِنَ الْإِبْدَالِ، وَالْأَصْلُ نَقِيبَةٌ.
