(نَذَرَ) النُّونُ وَالذَّالُ وَالرَّاءُ كَلِمَةٌ تَدُلُّ عَلَى تَخْوِيفٍ أَوْ تَخَوُّفٍ. مِنْهُ الْإِنْذَارُ: الْإِبْلَاغُ ; وَلَا يَكَادُ يَكُونُ إِلَّا فِي التَّخْوِيفِ. وَتَنَاذَرُوا: خَوَّفَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا. وَمِنْهُ النَّذْرُ، وَهُوَ أَنَّهُ يَخَافُ إِذَا أَخْلَفَ. قَالَ ثَعْلَبٌ: نَذِرْتُ بِهِمْ فَاسْتَعْدَدْتُ لَهُمْ وَحَذِرْتُ مِنْهُمْ. وَالنَّذِيرُ: الْمُنْذِرُ، وَالْجَمْعُ النُّذُرُ. وَالنَّذْرُ أَيْضًا: مَا يَجِبُ، كَأَنَّهُ نُذِرَ، أَيْ أُوجِبُ. وَنَذْرُ الْمُوضِحَةِ فِي الْحَدِيثِ مِنْهُ.
