نحب
النَّحْبُ: النَّذْر المحكوم بوجوبه، يقال:
قضى فلان نَحْبَهُ. أي: وَفَى بنذره. قال تعالى: فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضى نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْتَظِرُ
[الأحزاب/ 23] ويعبّر بذلك عمّن مات، كقولهم: قضى أجله ، واستوفى أكله، وقضى من الدّنيا حاجته، والنَّحِيبُ: البكاء الذي معه صوت، والنُّحَابُ السُّعَال.
