مُخايِلٌ:
بالضم، وبعد الألف ياء مثناة من تحت، ولام، كأنه من خايل يخايل فهو مخايل إذا أراك خياله أو ما أشبه هذا التأويل: اسم موضع في عقيق المدينة، قال الشاعر:
ألا قالت أثالة يوم قوّ، ... وحلو العيش يذكر في السّنين:
سكنت مخايلا وتركت سلعا ... شقاء في المعيشة بعد لين
