(ململ) - في حديث أبى عُبيد: "أَنَّه حَمَل يَومَ الجِسْرِ، فَضرَبَ مَلْمَلَة الفِيلَ"
يعنى خُرْطُومَه، سَمَّاه به لكَثْرَةِ تَحريكهِ له وتَمَلْمُلهِ، وعَيرٌ مُلامِلٌ: سَرِيعٌ.
